The Problem
The previous website contained outdated information and was becoming disorganized and difficult to manage. The employee who had been responsible for updating it had retired recently, leaving no one with the knowledge of how to maintain and update it. Overall, it no longer reflected the mission or brand of the organization.
The Process
We worked together to determine what elements of the previous website were the most important, what needed to be updated, and what elements were missing.
The top three goals for PCBDSN's new website are:

The Solution
Once we determined that the best option for this project would be to create a whole new website using WordPress with a domain name that better represents their organization, we started by reviewing the existing content and which elements should be kept kept, which needed to be updated, and what could be discarded.
Since the primary goal of the new website would be to connect with potential clients, our most important task was to clearly share all necessary information about PCBDSN's programs and how to enroll for services.
Finally, we wanted to tie the website together using the colors of the organization's vibrant logo. We assigned colors of the logo to each of the main categories on the website and used some neat custom CSS to incorporate those colors into the desktop dropdown menu and mouse-over effects:
- Green - Programs & Services
- Blue - Who We Are
- Indigo - Events
- Red - Support Us
- Yellow - Contact
The colors also carry throughout the subpages of the site, subtly classifying relating pages together and creating a cohesive design that highlights the diversity of PCBDSN and its offerings.
